This proves to be an exciting and action-packed weekend as we select out our cow-calf pairs in preparation for bulling season. For this weekend, we recommend some riding experience to be able to make the most of it.
Arrive on Friday at noon, settle into the Farmhouse accommodation and enjoy a light farmhouse lunch. We will then pair you up with your ranch horse in our sand arena and take you out for a beautiful late-afternoon outride through cattle herds on the home farm.
Return to the Farmhouse for a delicious 3 course dinner, served with country hospitality.
Saturday morning, after a full farmhouse breakfast, we saddle up and ride out to begin selecting our momma cow and calf pairs. Some of our favourite work on a cattle farm, selecting out breeding cows is both challenging and fun, leaving its riders with many memorable moments … and a little bit of adrenaline too! A picnic lunch will be provided en route.
Return to the Farmhouse for another 3 course dinner. Sit around the campfire and savor the adventures of the day.
Sunday morning begins with early morning coffee and rusks, and we saddle up once more, this time to check on the home herds and tends to any sick cattle and calves.
Don’t miss out on this rewarding and fun weekend in the saddle.
